Implicit in every Attention! AM SQL Agent query is a connectivity check to the target database. Should the query fail due to an inability to access the SQL database, the Attention! AM SQL Agent will forward the error condition to the Attention! AM server for immediate processing.

In this example, there is no query to execute. The Attention! AM SQL Agent is being used to verify the availability of the database identified by the ATTNSW DSN. The polling interval is every 1 minute. Should the ATTNSW database go down, a message describing the outage condition will be forwarded to the Attention! AM server.
