Alarms for fixed-length Fields

Many sources of input to the Attention! Alarm Manager Software Server are based on message streams that contain a variety of data. The key to effectively defining an alarm is to isolate the substrings within the message, determine their data types, and then test these fields against predetermined values using standard relational operators.

Attention! Alarm Manager Software alarms provide a quick and efficient method to analyze the contents of any message stream, and make decisions based on values contained within user-defined fields. These fields, or substrings within the message, can be declared as string, number or date data types.

By comparing the field contents sent from the application or device with a known value, alarms can filter out important messages that need your immediate attention, and ignore those that are not critical in nature.
