The Attention! NS web interface comes standard with integral password authentication, allowing users to log into their accounts in a safe and secure manner. In this default configuration, all usernames and passwords are maintained as part of the central Attention! NS database. In most situations, this user validation capability will meet all your requirements. But for those customers that have implemented a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server, the Attention! NS web interface provides a single sign-on feature to perform all password authentication using the installed LDAP configuration.

The Attention! Web Security Package is an optional component that enables LDAP authentication for users logging into the Attention! Web Interface. Secure browser access, as well as encrypted communication between the Attention! Web Interface and the LDAP server, is provided by the Secure Sockets Layer (SSLv3) protocol.
