What sets subscription software apart from applications controlled by a central administrator is the autonomy of the user. With Attention! RT's notification subscription capabilities, it is easy to keep your organization apprised of upcoming schedule changes, traffic reports or any other nice to know message communications.

Attention! RT is often referred to as a publish / subscribe software solution. Messages in a variety of categories—referred to as Subjects—are published by administrative personnel when an event of some significance has occurred. Users of the system have the ability to subscribe to Subjects that interest them, and avoid notifications for Subjects that do not.

One exception to this user autonomy philosophy involves Attention! RT mandatory publications. In some situations, Attention! RT administrators will require every user account on the system to receive a communication when certain messages are published. Examples of these mandatory publications include security threats and weather emergencies.
